Why one price
Traceability software has mostly been priced for factories, with tiers that put the useful parts out of reach of a small producer. We think the baker with two staff needs the same traceability report as the plant with two hundred, so everyone gets all of it.
€25 a month works out at about 80 cent a day. It's less than you'd spend on labels for the week, and a fraction of what one unanswered recall question costs.

The value of SmartTrace is in the setup: the right production stages, recipes that match how you actually make things, and suppliers and customers entered properly. Is it really everything for €25?
Yes. One plan, €25 a month, every feature, unlimited batches, deliveries, dispatches and users. We'd rather you spent your time making food than comparing tiers.
Is there a contract?
No. It's month to month. Cancel whenever you like and you won't be charged again.
How does the free setup work?
When you create an account we email you our number and ring you within a working day. On the call we set up your production stages, recipes, suppliers and customers with you. It usually takes under an hour and there's no charge.
How does the free week work?
Once you're set up you have 7 days to use SmartTrace for real, with no card. If you want to keep it, we send you a payment link. If not, nothing happens and nothing is charged.
What's the money back guarantee?
If you subscribe and decide within 30 days that it isn't for you, email us and we'll refund the full amount. No forms, no questions you'd rather not answer.
Is VAT included?
The price is €25 plus VAT at the Irish standard rate where it applies. VAT registered businesses can reclaim it as normal. You'll get a VAT invoice every month.
How do I pay?
By debit or credit card through a secure Stripe payment link we send you. It sets up a monthly subscription that runs until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt each month.
What if a payment fails?
Stripe will retry and email you. If it still doesn't go through, your account shows a notice asking you to update your card or ring us, and your records stay safe and visible throughout. Nobody is ever locked out of their own traceability records.
What about more than one site or kitchen?
One account covers one producer. If you run two separate businesses with separate records, you'd need two accounts. If it's one business with two units, one account is fine. Ask us on the setup call.
Do you charge for help?
No. Email and phone support are included, and so is the setup call.
Is there anything else to buy?
Only if you want printed labels. We recommend the Phomemo M221 Bluetooth label printer, about €60 to €70 from lots of shops around Europe, with labels at a few cent each. It prints through our free Android app. Without a printer you can print labels on an ordinary printer, or not use labels at all.
Can I export my data if I leave?
Yes. Reports export to CSV at any time, and we'll give you a full export of your records on request.
Is there a discount for paying yearly?
Not at the moment. We'd rather keep one simple price and let you leave whenever you like than tie you in for a discount.
